Beauty Secrets of the Pros

A great facial exfoliant you can do at home:

Mix 1 teaspoon granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon plain yogurt just until combined
Gently rub in circles on clean, damp face for a minute or so
Rinse with warm water
Do once a week
Follow with moisturizer

To refresh sleepy, puffy eyes:

Use damp, chilled chamomile or green-tea bags
Leave on eyes for up to 15 minutes

For rough, dry skin on the feet:

Mix cup Epsom salts with cup sea salt with one gallon of warm water
Optional: add 3 to 5 drops of peppermint and lavender oils
Soak for 10 to 15 minutes
Use a scrub or pumice

Wake-up body buffer:

Make a paste of cup ground coffee (caffeinated) and 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, or any natural oil-nut oils are especially rich
Use a body scrub for ultra smooth hydrated skin
Refrigerate any leftovers in an airtight container for up to seven days
There have been studies that show caffeine can temporarily reduce the look of cellulite

Make-up

Before applying mascara, close eyes and dust light-brown eye shadow over lashes
The powder bonds to the hairs creating fuller, thicker-looking lashes
Apply nude liner along the inside rim of lower lid to brighten eyes; this technique will minimize redness and visually extend the whites of your eyes making them appear wider and brighter
When you are running low on foundation mix what is left with your daily moisturizer (this saves a step also by combining the two, and you will get a more sheer coverage that is perfect for daytime
If you like lip gloss but want a color that last, dab on a soft pink or berry lip stain, let it set, follow with a coat of clear gloss-even when the shines wears away you will still have a pop of color
