* Water, Water everywhere!
Hydrate! (8) 8oz glasses of water, MINIMUM, a day!
* Change up your work outs; it not only shocks your body to help lose belly fat, it keeps your workouts fun! Some cardio, some weights, some cycling, some swimming...there are so many different things you can do. There are alot of resources available out there that offer some awesome and FUN workouts.
*Mental Maintenance. Any endeavour can become grueling without a little mental maintenance. Take some time, get quiet, visualize your future if you DON'T lose the belly fat (and really make that bad future feel real ~ scare yourself with the reality of how bad your life can become).
Shake that vision out of your head! QUICKLY! NOW!
Sit back down, get quiet again. Now envision your future as a SUCCESS! Make it real, your better life when you lose that belly fat. Visualize yourself preening and admiring in front of a mirror. Imagine, powerfully, how you will feel! Make these visions real. You really can't perform this mental exercise too much!
*Do NOT under eat. Too many people try starving themselves. It doesn't work! What's worse, you can really screw up your metabolism. Don't do it. Read up on proper nutrition. All the experts agree, you need to eat the right foods to lose that belly fat and you need to eat enough food to generate the energy to lose that belly fat. You can eat too much of the right foods, but it's difficult.
*Be patient. You didn't get that belly fat overnight. You are going to lose belly fat if you stick with it but it's not going to happen overnight. When you start feeling like you're "never" going to lose that body fat, sit down and do your visualizations. then drink a glass of water and go for a quick walk(or do some jumping jacks ~just get out of that "never" mindset).
*Don't freak out when your body starts changing. Some people, when they start losing body fat, start losing at their extremities~their arms & legs~first. I can tell you from experience, it's going to make you look like you have MORE belly fat and it just might freak you out! Don'tfreakOut! Your body will catch up and you will lose belly fat too. Honest.
*Rest! Most folks think if a little is good for you, alot is even better but the truth is, it's easy to overdue the workouts while trying to lose belly fat. Your bodies systems need to cycle in order to properly burn off that belly fat and if they aren't allowed to cycle properly your efforts to lose that belly fat will actually be slowed! Listen to your body. It WILL tell you when you need a rest period. I promise this will help maximize your results in losing belly fat(and you'll just feel better, too).
*Seek out quality advice and try different things. No one trainer, doctor, athlete or "expert" has ALL the answers for "everyone". Some things that work for others may not work for you. Conversely, the things that work for you may not work for someone else. Everybody is different. You are unique, too.
