(I'm sure there are a few T shirts and more items just around the corner.)
The point is, we all keep and use a variety of promotional products. Some we cherish and keep for years. Many, while useful, get stored away and only brought out upon occasion. Others expire or wear out, just to get tossed after a short lifespan. Only a few earn a prominent position in our homes and offices -- viewed and used every day.
All promotional products are NOT created equal -- even among the ones we personally keep. So how do you decide which ones could be most effective in keeping your name in front of your desired audience for days, months, even years to come AND yield you the best return?
Use your own list as a starting point and as a preliminary guide. By the side of each item:
- Rank them in order of "favorites," with #1 as your favorite and on down through your list.
- Next, rank them in order of most used, again #1 through the end.
- Now, without looking back, write the name of the business displayed on each of the products on your list. Those you can't remember leave blank. (Here's a clue: if you don't remember the business name on an item -- from lack of use or lack of distinction -- it's not a product you'll want to give your clients.)
- Sorting through your list, pick out the products with name recognition that also ranked well both as favorites and as most used. You're now on the right track for finding the type of promotional product that will give you the most bang for the buck!
If you're not inspired from your own list, pay attention to all the products you come across.
