Did you ever write a book? Any kind of a book? I am talking mainly about a personal book for a gift for your family or friend? This book does not have to be formally published.
When you want to write a book as a present for someone think of what you want to portray in this book. How do you want to create this book? When it comes to creativity - the sky is the limit.
ARTIST:
If you are an artist you can draw pictures. Any kind of pictures. Funny pictures, serious pictures. Let your fingers fly over the blank piece of paper. Let your pen, paint brush, high lighter, colored pencils, or charcoal do the work for you. You can add a few lines of dialogue or not. If you can't draw a straight line you can get on the computer and there are programs where you can draw with the computers help. If you do not want to draw you can cut out pictures from magazines and make a story which means something to you and the person this book is intended. Magazines have colorful pictures of just about every subject.
PICTURES:
Maybe you would like to create a picture book. You can print pictures right from your computer onto computer paper or you can tape pictures to the paper. Which ever way it is easier for you.
WRITING:
If you like to write you can hand write, print or use the computer to create a short story. Maybe it is about a specific incident you remember. You can add pictures or not. You can write a letter, a poem or a couple of lines.
Adding pictures and dialogue to a story, letter or poem will definitely take your book, your creation to the next level.
FINISHED:
For the finish of the book which can be as many pages as you like you can staple it together with a cover. You can put it into a binder. You can have it laminated.
When you start creating your book or several books for others, what a fabulous Christmas or present for other special occasions, you can make. This book will be kept and treasured for years.
We do not need to be accredited authors or artists all we need is an imagination.
